About our founders

Rhema Word of Life Church was founded through the God-given vision of Pastor Manuel Washington III and his devoted wife, Lady Cassandra Washington. This vision was birthed in January 2010, and after much prayer, faith, and obedience, the ministry officially launched on May 10, 2010.

On January 24, 2022, at 2:05 PM, our beloved Pastor Manuel peacefully transitioned into his eternal rest. He fought the good fight of faith — and without a doubt, he won the battle. His life, leadership, and legacy have left an enduring impact on all who were blessed to know him. A true shepherd, Pastor Manuel led with wisdom, compassion, and unwavering dedication to the Word of God.

His Legacy

Though our hearts grieve, we also celebrate the remarkable life he lived and the ministry he built. His vision and mission live on through the continued work of Lady Cassandra Washington, who remains a pillar of strength and faith within our church. With her steadfast commitment to the call of God, she is faithfully leading Rhema Word of Life Church into its next season.
